We built Tendra with the security model we'd want for our own portfolios. Your data is encrypted before it ever reaches the database — not as an afterthought, but as a core design principle.
Every holding quantity, price, transaction amount, and account number is encrypted with AES-256-GCM — the same standard used by banks and government agencies — before being stored. Even if the database were compromised, your financial data would be unreadable.
Tendra never asks for your brokerage login, password, or API keys. You export a PDF statement from your broker and upload it directly. Your broker accounts remain untouched and unlinked.
No passwords to remember, leak, or get phished. Sign in with a one-time code sent to your email. Sessions are secured with HTTP-only cookies and rate-limited to prevent brute force attacks.
Account numbers are never displayed in full — not in the UI, not in API responses. Only the last four characters are shown, and the full number is encrypted in the database.
